I think you have problems with your dns. Do you have a static ip for your nic ?
-
I have already a static IP. Any other idea?
All other thinks like smb work fine. The only think I can't do is to install an plugin. I also tried to manually download the OwnCloud plugin from here http://omv-extras.org/simple/ but any way it does not work.

If you have an static ip you probably forgot to setup your DNS servers
-
and omv extras does not provide owncloud plugin.
-
ok thx
how can I setup my DNS server -
-
I have only a static IP inside my LAN...
-
In the network interfaces configuration, select your interace, go down below, enter the DNS server in the corresponding field, try 8.8.8.8
-
.... Not that I have a specific problem, just wondering - I have reserved IP assignment in my router so all devices get their same IP on boot, I currently do not have my DNS setup in OMV, is it needed in my case?
-
-
Not necessarily. Do you have problems while updating? (Best to try it via command line with: omv-update)
