docker slow performance

I recently got docker up and running with sonarr and nzbget. When I am going through and adding my shows, I am finding it is taking quite a long time to add each show compared to when I was on omv 3 and using the regular plugin. My system is using a 6600k and 16gb of memory and 5 8tb wd red drives so I dont believe it is a performance issue on the hardware. The containers I have running are nzbget, sonarr, radarr, and unifi controller for my network. I am not seeing anything in the logs that points me in a direction. Any ideas?

I am now seeing the following message in the system log monit[1193] 'hostname' loadavg(5min) of 5.8 matches resource limit [loadavg(5min)>4.0]
