[solved] Help! High load and lots of syslog entries

  • Hi,

I think I need some help. My syslog is flooded with the follwoing entries:

Can someone please help me out of this?

  • Hi,

    nothing special.

The only thing I did was installing vdr. But I´ve already removed it some days ago.

I´ve rebootet OMV, the load is gone but the syslog still gets tons of these entries.

  • It could be the tuner. I'm going to have someone that has used the DVR plugin look at this. This path is weird to me and we need to know where it is coming from.

I sent pm to a few mods that know more about the DVR plugin. Before you take anything out of your system make sure you undo all settings in plugins, just for future reference. Hopefully they can help you on this. Good Luck.

  • Hi,

too late. I´ve removed him. I only used him for vdr. As I uninstalled vdr I already removed the sundtek drivers for the tuner. So removing him should be save, or not?

But nothing changed. Still getting lots of these syslog entries.

But now I´ll wait for further advises :)

  • Yeah, you should because I have not seen this before. Sometimes when you take things out before undoing settings entries are not removed from certain config files and this can cause problems.

  • One more thing. The devices in the syslog are equal to my hard disk drives uuid´s:

    Code
    root@intrepid:/media# ls -la
    insgesamt 28
    drwxr-xr-x 7 root root 4096 18. Jan 11:18 .
    drwxr-xr-x 23 root root 4096 11. Okt 08:07 ..

  • Ah, it did have something to do with the timezone area... Good!!! Make sure you get good address for a time server next try.

PS- If that log file got really big you might want to delete a lot of it's content.

All looks fine there. Can you explain this path:

    /df/df-media-6629d1a2-277f-4fbe-b660-6422d0836314

That is the collectd file for the disk free for that data drive. Not sure why it would be bad.
