What kind of system? amd64 and i386 use the official plex repo. So, if you aren't seeing an update, then there isn't one. If you are using an arm board, I haven't updated the package in a long time because I want this plugin to go away in favor of docker - Installation and Setup Videos - Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced
Sorry for the missing information!
4.9.0-0.bpo.6-amd64
When I connect to plex it says that there is an update available: 1.15.3.876 However I dont get any from the repo.

Not much you can do until they put it in the repo. I just checked and 1.41.1.5488 is the newest version in their repo.
$ sudo apt-cache policy plexmediaserver
plexmediaserver:

Hello,
What kind of system? amd64 and i386 use the official plex repo. So, if you aren't seeing an update, then there isn't one.....
Hmm, but this way is not going
If you used official plex repo:
deb https://downloads.plex.tv/repo/deb/ public main
so you get this Message:
Holen:14 https://downloads.plex.tv/repo/deb public InRelease [3.408 B]

And nothing wil be updated
So the Repo ist "public main" and now message missmatch with "public InRelease"
the same Massage will get you ift you edit your "nano omv-extras-org.list"
# This is file is generated.
# OMV-Extras repos

#deb https://downloads.plex.tv/repo/deb/ ./public main
deb https://downloads.plex.tv/repo/deb/ public main
Alles anzeigen
So the official repo "deb https://downloads.plex.tv/repo/deb/ public main" can not used, update this manuel with:
wget https://downloads.plex.tv/plex-media-server-new/1.15.3.876-ad6e39743/debian/plexmediaserver_1.15.3.876-ad6e39743_amd64.deb
apt install ./plexmediaserver_1.15.3.876-ad6e39743_amd64.deb
rm plexmediaserver_1.15.3.876-ad6e39743_amd64.deb
for the other Links to the newest Plexmedia you can see (select) it in this Link: https://www.plex.tv/de/media-server-downloads/
On my System it works fine with update Manuel:

Maybe, everything is wrong by plex or OMV4
i found this posting with my writing Problem in Plexforum:
https://forums.plex.tv/t/how-t…rver-using-apt-get/238304
so you get this Message:
I don't get that error.
So the official repo "deb downloads.plex.tv/repo/deb/ public main" can not used, update this manuel with:
You don't have to disable the repo to manually install the package. Also changing the repo to remove the ./ before public doesn't change anything.
On my System it works fine with update Manuel:
Of course it does. If people just have patience and wait for plex to put the newer version in the repo, they would have the same thing.
hello @ryecoaaron,
okay am not an Linux expert, i am beginner
but i have found this Thread in Plexforum with the same Message by myself.
https://forums.plex.tv/t/w-con…expected-public/194055/14
as information for ohter Guys....
But why they don't put the new versions on the reposerver at the same time seems strange to me
Alles anzeigenNot much you can do until they put it in the repo. I just checked and 1.41.1.5488 is the newest version in their repo.

Thanks for your response. I will wait
but i have found this Thread in Plexforum with the same Message by myself.
I'm not sure what that post is supposed to tell me?
It has been repeatedly reported on the Plex forum that their repositories are being revamped and will remain out of sync until further notice.
However, if you run Plex in a docker it will be kept current.
