[RESOLVED] Can not log into webgui anymore

Hi,

when I try to log in to the webgui, the login page permanently reloads.

I´ve tried to reboot the server but without success.

I think, I need some help

What OMV version? Did you try another browser?

Yes,

I tried IE also. There no logon windows appears. Only the light blue page with the omv logo in the right corner.

It´s the latest version -> 0.5.40

It is weird. Seems like browser issue. Did you try rebooting? Yes, I see you did.

Give me results of this:

dpkg -l | grep openmediavault

Does it seem like the login page is looping??? Like it keeps loading?

Are you using https? Try http. I think this is extplorer issue.

I´m using http as always.

I´ve cleared the browsercache and rebooted again. Same result

Try removing it temporarily:

apt-get --purge remove openmediavault-extplorer

Strange...

I downloaded firefox and it works again. But not with chrome or IE.

I don´t understand that. I always used chrome.

It is your browser cache. You need to learn to clean it out. A lot of stuff in Chrome still uses IE. So if you have problem like this clear caches, cookies, etc... in both browsers.

Seems you are right.

Using an inkognito session within chrome works.

One thing...why did you mention extplorer? Indeed the last thing I did was using extplorer.

Oh, another thing that causes problems is compatability view settings on ie. Sometimes you need to change settings on that.
