No WebUI after upgrade

    Hi guys

    This
morning I upgraded the system through the Update Manager and
afterwards was unable to connect to any shares although the NAS was
still running and I was able to access the Web UI and other services
like Transmission & BTSync so I tried rebooting.at first I still
had no access to my shares but eventually they came back but I still
dont have the WEB UI, when I try to log into the server I get a
    message saying

    Zitat

    It works!
    This is the default web
    page for this server.

The web server software is running but
no content has been added, yet.

    Everything else seems
to be fine and I'm able to log in through ssh I've tried rebooting
again several times & reconfiguring the WebUI with omv-firstaid
but that made no difference either

    Any help would
    be much appreciated

  • Hi David

    Zitat

Upgrade to 1.0 did not work - "Welcome to Nginx"

I'm not sure how the above link refers to my problem I upgraded to version 1.0 some time ago and currently running v 1.13 and I am not getting a "welcome to Nginx" message

Run the commands and be happy again. ;)

  • Can you please clarify

Is this the commands I need to run

    Code
    omv-mkconf nginx
    omv-mkconf php5fpm
    service apache2 stop
    service php5-fpm restart
    update-rc.d -f apache2 remove
    service nginx restart

    Many thanks

  • It's not like that I didn't explicity link to them for a reason.

  • When apache is enabled like this nothing has happened with the nginx or php5fpm configs. So those steps are unnecessary. If you mkconf the configs you are just reproducing what you already have.

  • My comment was targeted at Emegra.

  • Hi David
Sorry I don't understand what you mean ?

When I Link directly to a specific post with some commands, you can trust me that it's fine to execute them without second guessing them. ;)

Sorry David I wasn't meaning to second guess you I was only asking for confirmation as to what commands to execute, I am not as commandline literate as you are or probably most folk on here and I didn't want to screw up by misunderstanding your instructions.

    Many thanks for your help

    Graeme

  • Graeme, don't worry you didn't do anything wrong. Neither did David. You could have done all the commands he linked to but it was not necessary. In Linux many times there are more ways then one to accomplish what you want.
