Tried to update plex

Hi,

I think I made a mistake by trying to install plex manually:

/var/lib/dpkg/info/plexmediaserver.postinst: 39: /var/lib/dpkg/info/plexmediaserver.postinst: start: not found

I then tried to reinstall it:

root@intrepid:/var/cache/apt/archives# apt-get install --reinstall plexmediaserver
Paketlisten werden gelesen... Fertig
Abhängigkeitsbaum wird aufgebaut.
Statusinformationen werden eingelesen.... Fertig
Erneute Installation von plexmediaserver ist nicht möglich,
es kann nicht heruntergeladen werden.
Das folgende Paket wurde automatisch installiert und wird nicht mehr benötigt:
  avahi-utils
Verwenden Sie »apt-get autoremove«, um es zu entfernen.
0 aktualisiert, 0 neu installiert, 0 zu entfernen und 0 nicht aktualisiert.
root@intrepid:/var/cache/apt/archives#

Is there anyway to reinstall plex without loosing my config?

Assuming your install is normal 64 bit install:

cd /opt
Link has been deleted because it was plex pass.

dpkg -i plex (then press TAB to compmlete the name and hit ENTER)

After install it should work. Then remove package while still in /opt
rm plex (then press TAB to complete name and hit ENTER)

PS- You probably upgraded with an Ubuntu package. This one above is what you need and if you haven't uninstalled it should fix everything for you. Just copy and pasted the wget command into putty.
