Hi,
When i bid my NAS i bought to a UPS this one (http://www.conceptronic.net/pt/product.php?id=827&linkid=820) but i try configure NUT to work whit it and NUT dos not recognizes the UPS.
UPS not recognized by NUT

I don't use UPS, but the the plugin is based on NUT
According to the NUT website hw compatibility list i see no brand conceptronic therehttp://www.networkupstools.org/stable-hcl.html
So you might want to rethink of returning that and getting a more compatible one
-
lsusb from command line than make a google search using vendor & product id
or directly ask to nut support https://github.com/networkupstools/nut
that takes short time before you decide to change to a surely compatible onealso NUT UPS problem

the lsusb output is this, similar yoursCoderoot@JMS-OMV:~# lsusb Bus 001 Device 002: ID 8087:8008 Intel Corp. Bus 002 Device 002: ID 8087:8000 Intel Corp. Bus 003 Device 002: ID 054c:05b8 Sony Corp. i configured the ups plugin withCodedriver = blazer_usb subdriver = cypress protocol = mustek vendorid = 0665 productid = 5161 port = auto
on WEbUI when access to UPS tab it shows the follow error
on details shows thisCodeError #4000: exception 'OMVException' with message 'Failed to execute command 'upsc 'ups' 2>&1': Error: Driver not connected' in /usr/share/openmediavault/engined/rpc/nut.inc:151 Stack trace: #0 [internal function]: OMVRpcServiceNetworkUPSTools->getStats(NULL, Array) #1 /usr/share/php/openmediavault/rpcservice.inc(125): call_user_func_array(Array, Array) #2 /usr/share/php/openmediavault/rpc.inc(79): OMVRpcServiceAbstract->callMethod('getStats', NULL, Array) #3 /usr/sbin/omv-engined(500): OMVRpc::exec('Nut', 'getStats', NULL, Array, 1) #4 {main}

try inactivating the service & reboot.....then back again activate the service with the same parameters

-
maybe a further help is here http://forums.openmediavault.o…p/?postID=90299#post90299but at your own risk.......it means backup your entire system disk before
-
I will try later today, thanks for reply, now one more thing which version os Nut i should download from here http://omv-extras.org/testing2/nut/.
-
please ask @ryecoaaron ; he's the builder and I'm quite sure he will explain you how to test on your machine
but I should also aks to the nut support people on their github page before: if your ups is really not supported by the nut version compiled by reycoaaron it would just be a waste of time
-
The version in that directory is the jessie version of the nut packages built for wheezy (omv 1.x,2.x). It should have better device support but I haven't used it myself. So, try at your own risk.
-
i will try on my risk, but on the directory has many .deb files, with one i should use, i have a intel pentium g3250 running backports kernel . tests my doubt. thanks
-
The files only work on 64 bit installs of OMV. Your cpu is 64 bit capable. Did you install the amd64 version?
Based on the packages installed on my system. you will probably need:
nut
nut-client
nut-server
libupsclient4 -
my old conceptronic UPS was not ok, so i contact the seller and return it and chose this one:
http://powerquality.eaton.com/5E850iUSB.aspx?CX=96
on NUT page it not says that not work but work pretty well
the config is this if anyone buy one
http://bernaerts.dyndns.org/li…install-monitor-eaton-ups
