Hey guys!
I'm about to set up my new HP N40L Microserver.
Got the 250GB N40L, + additional RAM (8GB) , + ATI HD6450
My goal is to run OMV for all the NAS functionality. Thats not a big deal I guess... but here comes the critical point: For massive eye candyness i'd like to run XMBC on it and connect it via HDMI to my TV (thats why I ordered the HD6450).
Is there any way to achieve this?
I have a couple of possible solutions for this ... maybe I'm missing something.
Option 1 - Install ESXI 5.1 - Run 1.Virtual Machine for OMV and 2nd one for Windows/Linux+XBMC
Option 2 - Install Ubuntu (Server) - Configure all the shares via SMB/NFS etc. + Install XMBC on it (obviously without OMV )
Option 3 is you guys. I'd like to keep it as simple as possible.
So I want the N40L to be the server for the media shares, as well as some kind of HTPC at the same time.
I'd appreciate for any help!
Chris
