Docker or apptool for SABNZBD, SICKBEARD, DELUGE, EMBY ?

  • Hello,

    I'm using OMV 2 since a few years now and it runs very smoothly. Besides the file storage & sharing, I'm also using SABNZBD, DELUGE, SICKBEARD, EMBY.

    I've recently installed OMV 4.0 (in a VM) to test it and all those plugins don't exist anymore. And If I have understood correctly, they'll not be ported to OMV4 as this is demanding too much work for maintenance.

    So my question is : what is the best method to add those plugins again ?
    Seems Docker is the way but I found for Emby a thread talking about using a repository and pluging apptool.
    What is the pro & cons of both method (Docker vs apptool).

    Thanks,
    Didier

    This has been discussed many times. The downloader plugins aren't going to be ported in favor of using docker. Here is the very nice How To - OMV + Docker plugin media server (Plex, PlexPy, Ombi, Libresonic, NZBGet, ruTorrent, Sonarr, Radarr, Mylar, and more)

    omv 7.7.10-1 sandworm | 64 bit | 6.11 proxmox kernel

    plugins :: omvextrasorg 7.0.2 | kvm 7.1.8 | compose 7.6.10 | cterm 7.8.7 | cputemp 7.0.2 | mergerfs 7.0.5 | scripts 7.3.1

    omv-extras.org plugins source code and issue tracker - github - changelogs
