docker-compose included in OMV 5?

  • Is docker-compose included in OMV 5 and will it keep being if so?

Installed and updated OMV 5 and upon installation of docker, imported the previous docker storage location from OMV 4 and via ssh I was able to use docker-compose without issue. Lovely if it will be kept available upon new OMV installations.

Thanks in advance for any guidance.

If you use the Install Docker button in omv-extras, yes docker-compose is being installed. I have no plans to remove it because I use it all the time and portainer allows you to use compose files.

  • My bad, just saw the install details on the plugin. New installation and just trying it out now.

    • This will install the docker-ce package.
    • This will download and place docker-compose in /usr/local/bin/.
