Weird: Handbrake opens in Edge (Cromium) and Firefox, but not in Chrome

  • Hi,
I just installed Handbrake using Technodad video. In Firefox and Edge it works great, but in Chrome it says Server disconnected (code 1006).
I understand that this code is something with firewall, but weird thing is that from my main computer (Win 10) I can access Handbrake using Edge or Firefox, this happens just in Chrome.

I don't use Chrome. But I have a guess about what is wrong.

I assume that the protocol used is http. I think Chrome doesn't like http, thinking it is unsafe. And want you to use https instead. Could that be the reason?

I assume that it is possible to tell Chrome to still show http somehow? Some setting, possibly under security?

Be smart - be lazy. Clone your rootfs.

  • I think Chrome doesn't like http

It's true, but my other apps (heimdal, sonarr ets.) use http and I can open them in Chrome. Well I can make shortcut for Handbrake in FF or Edge :)
