I'm swapping the drive plugged into my RPi for a bigger one and want to keep the files I have on the current one - but because it's attached through USB 2 it will take FOREVER. I can plug the drive into my desktop pc via sata but I can't work out how to access the files. I've tried EX2 Volume Manager which lets me mount the drive, but windows says I need to format the disk before I can access it.
Is there any way I can access it so I can transfer the files at sata speeds?
