No VRDP option anymore after upgrade to Virtualbox 4.3

  • Hello,

I upgraded recently from Virtualbox 4.2 to 4.3.6 on Openmediavault 0.5 , but now I have no remote control option anymore in the Phpvirtualbox menu. I choose Openmediavault precisely over other NAS solutions for this feature. If this is some serious problem I wouldn't upgrade to 4.3 right now.

    Here are some screenshots:

  • Hello,

now it works after reinstalling the packages "openmediavault-virtualbox Ver. 0.5.13" and "virtualbox-4.3". I also found a small bug in openmediavault-virtualbox: if there is already a downloaded extension pack in /tmp the script hangs. If you delete everything in /tmp, it works well. Problem seems to be that the script downloads a new extension pack file everytime and names it *.2, *.3 and so on.

    Thanks

  • Hello, i have the same problem

Uninstall and install doesn't fix the problem

  • Try to uninstall the extension pack and reinstall it with the vbox user.

I added a module restart to the plugin thinking it would fix this problem but I guess a reboot is just mandatory for 4.3 sometimes.
