Did you configure wireguard on the smartphone using the QR code provided by the plugin?
In the Wireguard app's network settings on the smartphone, what is the value set in the Allowed IP's field?
I forget where but I believe it was mentioned that the OMV (6) Wireguard Plugin did not have WAN/Internet Access but only allowed access to the LAN. I believe the WAN/LAN access on the WG OMV Plugin is only available on Windows WG Clients, not Android/Apple.
I too would love to be able to be essentially using my HOME Internet as well as LAN Access via Wireguard Plugin. When I was testing and installed WG on my Proxmox, I indeed had WAN and LAN access so I suppose it is conceivable but maybe the OMV WG was to be simply LAN access only, for it's OMV purpose.. Which I am fine with as well. Easiest WG setup ever.

Who said that you do not have access to WAN? Wireguard would be meaningless without it.
I clearly missed a step. On my iPhone I can connect to the WH Plugin and get on my network just fine, but all Internet goes bye bye so I’ll go over it all again as I missed something.

Page Can Not Be Displayed. It’s like I literally leave my cellular access and just have LAN access.

Ya know what is funny. I did follow the guide, but it was not that guide! But it was an OMV How-To! I am going crazy, but yes, will redo.
Patience and small steps. Cheer up! 
From the Wireguard app > Interface > DNS servers, I had it set to my Pi-Hole IP address that is used on my local network. I removed this leaving the dns servers block blank.
I suspect that your problem is related to your network configuration and Pi-Hole.
I got mine working by leaving DNS Servers on Wireguard App to blank, but I had to set Allowed IP's in the Wireguard App to 192.168.5.0/24. 0.0.0.0/0 did not allow LAN and WAN. Glitch? Probably. But I re-did it 2 times following guide and it did not work. This seems to bypass whatever glitch my system has.
warning during updates This may have been affecting wireguard for some time on some systems. I don't know what is happening with the network devices and with the ipv6 network. I also have one of my wireguard connections fail. I hope it gets resolved soon.
