Please mind wording. Due to problems with my nas I can't log in and get the correct wording right now.
The setup:
I have 7 4 TB drives in a ZFS "cluster" or is it called a "pool" Either way, all 7 drives are connected together to form a single set of storage. 2 of the drives are set as redundent. Meaning I only have 20 TB of space, and fault tolerance is 2 drives. I have to loose 3 drives before data loss starts. The ZFS array can be rebuilt 100% if I have either 1 or 2 drives fail. I hope I have explained that.
Today I lost 2 drives. Scary as crap! (Drives aren't bad, something funny is happening, so its all good, or will be)
However, it seems as though with those 2 drives missing, even though there is a 2 drive redundancy, ZFS did not start, automatically at least (I didn't try and start it manually. Don't know enough to without a lot of research, and though it better not to try, just in case)
I know it hasn't started because not only when I go to the ZFS page in OMV it says the page cannot be found, then I SSH in and run:
zpool list
I get:
The ZFS modules are not loaded.
My initial thought is that the system does this for protection, but would like to know for fact.
