I thought I saw somewhere that OMV 7 has the ability to write APFS, is that true? Is it stable?
My setup:
I have an old AMD desktop with OMV loaded on it. One singular HDD in it, has the OMV OS and data. The server is a place for backups, as well as files that only exist on the server. So I backup the server files by plugging in a USB disk to my Mac, and rsync'ing all the files to the disk. The only problem comes when I had to redo my backup files, and it takes forever to run the initial backup. I was going to plug the drive directly into the server, and ssh in, and copy/backup the files that way.... but turns out it was not able to automagically read/write APFS. That is when I realized I had an issue. I'm currently copying the data through my Mac... but it is a painfully slow process. Going on 4 days now. Every time my screensaver kicks on, the terminal stops the process. (Another issue for another forum). It is about 1 TB of data.
I'm specifically looking to solve the how to read write to APFS here on this form, or see if it is possible, or stable.
