OMV7 RPI4 cant get putty ssh to work i get network error permission denied.. Someone same problems ?. I really dont get it. firewall down and still same problem.
Also my other machines are not accessible via ssh i use w11 client with putty 0.81.

?? I login as admin ssh all the time ?? And i have never told it to give permissions
Whens the last time you installed a clean OMV? I did this yesterday and after installing it the first thing I do is login via ssh using admin. So admin must have SSH access.

The last time I installed OMV from scratch was nine years ago, OMV 2.
As long as I can remember the admin user is not a member of the ssh or _ssh groups and does not have a login shell.

If you follow the install process found -> here, in the process, you'll enable SSH and you'll create an administrative username that can access your R-PI over SSH.

Unfortunately, without logs and other details, no one could know "how" you installed it. You might consider reinstalling using the method referenced.

I thought more persons have this problem with putty and w11.
To avoid it, just run ssh on the CMD/POWERSHELL of Windows

Yes and then permission denied. Search all the internet....removed firewall stopped antivirus. No success
Why did I bother to reply, :facepalm:
Go to the OMV GUI and create a new USER.
Add it to the sudo and _ssh groups.
Go to the SSH service page and make sure that password authentication is enabled.
Save and accept the changes.
Login via ssh <NEW CREATED USER>@LAN_IP
Does it work?
Check the fail2ban service logs and see if your client IP isn't BANNED
