Well it should no off worked, i thought i had found a way of setting a default user but this does not work and app gets installed without a valid user.
Are you saying to Johny that it worked or just thanking him for trying to help??

Just one thing to say (don't know if somebody mentioned earlier, but search function does not look for it):
Is it necessary to run sickbeard as root? Shouldn't be better to run as a different user?
I changed some permissions in /var/run/sickbeard/ and in /etc/init.d/sickbeard to make it run as debian-transmission, and seems to work OK.
Just telling in case you might want to update the script

I've runned the script but installed couchpotato v1 instead of v2, how can i uninstall v1?

There is now a uninstall option built in, when on the main screen place a "-" infront of the app(s) you wish to uninstall "-1" to uninstall CPv1 or "-1 -2 -3 -4 -5 -6 -7 -8 -9 -10 -11 -12" to uninstall everything.

Hi - excellent work on the script - a perfect gap-filler for the common Python apps..
Haven't had chance to have a proper play with the resulting install, however did I notice that Sabnzbd didn't have Winrar installed (or at least configured)? Is this right - very new to OMV and what it comes with out-of-the-box etc.
Assuming this is the case, would it not be a good idea to include Winrar (and any other similar key add-ons), or if already installed ensure the config is correctly pointing to it?

It wont have "winrar" since its not running on a "Win"dows environment. Rar, presumably is installed somewhere along the line as part of the pre-reqs since everything works and extracts fine automatically.

"Unrar" should be installed unless they have changed the repo again, they did this a few months back. I will check again to be sure.
Everything that is needed should also be installed when the script is first run, the bit where you see % is where this happens. On first run it should take a few mins to complete but the next time it should just wizz through it as it SHOULD have all nesasery packages.

Not sure exactly what it was that caught my attention (or rather lack of!) - sadly do not have access to install right now - however my install was definitely having some form of moan re. RAR-related extraction software not being installed/configured.
Will check and update with actual FACTS when I get chance..!
no unrar package installed i installed sabnzbd
Can you run
apt-get install unrar
and let me know the outcome

Is there anything special about your install, x64, 86 other type of cpu etc?
X64 intel cpu :Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5420 @ 2.50GHz
i will add another check for unrar but for now to get you going do
cd /tmp
wget http://http.us.debian.org/debi…e/unrar_4.1.4-1_amd64.deb
dpkg -i unrar_4.1.4-1_amd64.deb
rm unrar_4.1.4-1_amd64.deb
then restart sabnzbd and you should be goot to go.
