openmediavault-emby plugin (formerly mediabrowser)

  • I am running Stone Burner 2.1.9
I have sonarr plugin installed and everything is running fine . When i try to install emby i get an error about dependencies but there is no way to install them.
I think it has something to do with mono versions.
    Can someone make any suggestions

PS i have emby running in a virtual machine with nfs share mount , but the lag is horrible

  • already tried it .

    This is what i get
    apt-get install openmediavault-emby
    Reading package lists... Done

when i try to install cli-common-dev i get another unmet dependancy and then another

and finally comes down to this

  • Hey guys,

Im new to OMV and Emby, and i cant seem to get Emby working on my OMV server. Instrructions i follow:

    – Install the omv-extras plugin: OK

    – In the secondary tab, activate the mono repository: OK

    – Install the omv-mediabrowser plugin from the plugins page: OK

    – Activate the mediabrowser service from the plugins page: HOW?

    – Click the Administration button to launch the Emby startup wizard: CANNOT FIND

on the install of omv-mediabrowser step i just install the openmediavault-emby 2.3 and it installs just fine. I cant seem to find out how to activate the service and find the administrator tab. any help would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: I found the emby server in the Servicxes tab, and i had to enable it from there. it was not showing for me before, I reinstalled emby and now it shows up.

  • Hey guys,
last week I installed emby successfully. At the weekende I had to reinstall OMV because I got new hardware.
On the freshly installed system I cant connect to the emby webinterface.

At the OMV services it seems running:

    Code
    root@KrausServer:/# service emby status
    emby is running.

But when I go to http://[IPofMyNas]:8096/emby i got "This website is not available. ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED"
Ports are opened since last installation of emby.

I hope you have an idea what may be the cause.

    @dingo
when i had a similar problem with sonarr the crazy solution was clearing the cache of my web browser.
The problem was with chrome . Chrome would give me connection refused and firefox would connect OK

  • Code
    deb http://security.debian.org/ wheezy/updates main contrib non-free
    deb-src http://security.debian.org/ wheezy/updates main contrib non-free
    # wheezy-updates, previously known as 'volatile'
    deb http://ftp.gr.debian.org/debian/ wheezy-updates main contrib non-free
    deb-src http://ftp.gr.debian.org/debian/ wheezy-updates main contrib non-free

Add contrib to these lines and then do:
    apt-get update

    Then try..

  • The same result

If i try to manual install the missing dependancies i reach a point where i get this

Is it possible to install 2 versions of mono-runtime ?
Will this have any impact in sonarr installation?
