My guess is that the host is timing out somehow... maybe because the rar file is too long.
I'll try with multiple small rars like you did with Lucy to see if it still times out.

Ok, so ... the pain in the a** (aka me) is back.
Now i can't move a file or folder to another directory, gives me an error, can you do it in yours?
-
Now i can't move a file or folder to another directory
extplorer or winscp?, the last one should not give you problems since it runs as root.
-
Both...
-
Must be a permission problem or maybe the file or folder is locked by another process. What's the error?
-
Gives code 4.
Check here winscp.net/eng/docs/SFTP_codes#code_4I tried moving do the same partition and different folder and it worked. Is it because i'm moving to a different partition?
Already checked all the permissions as well... -
Didn't know that. Sftp can't move through different fs. Basically sftp moving is just renaming the file, we see it as a move but is just renaming. Do you need to move the file across another file system?
-
I do.
My downloads are in one hdd and the storage in another.
-
So... is there another way to do it? extplorer can't do it either... is there any way to upgrade ssh? Maybe that way ... no?
-
mmmm no, i believe you can't change the sftp behaviour. But...
Check if you can do it with remote command like this in winscp over the file you want to move mv ! /root/, the ! is the file name expander, the root/ is just the root home folder as destination. You can change the destination folder. Try a small file to see faster results
