I've currently tested using Gmail as SMTP server and it worked. After enabling 2FA i was able to set an App-Password to send emails from OMV. The documentation has been adapted. -

Than you shouldn't be so "high-up" and understand that:
OMV doesn't run ONLY on raspberry and on a single model of drive.
A compromise had to be found and applied.

Yep, I was aware. I never added that because the plugin is only in the amd64 and i386 repos. I will never show up in the list on any arm system. -

No. rsnapshot uses hard links to do incremental backups. hard links don't work across disks. There really isn't any method I can think of that allows two backups without taking up space for two backups. -
