I'm new to OMV and Linux in general. I have OMV running a raspberry pi 3 with a single drive attached. I don't move a lot of big files. I went on the web gui a few days ago to deactivate Shairport. Today I tried to access the web gui. I type in my password like normal, but it keeps going back to the login screen. I can't access the web gui. My shared folder still works, which is good, but I wanted to install a new plugin. Any advice?

Have you checked if your system drive is full?
Log in to your server and post the result of
df -h
-
I can't access the server, that's the problem. I don't know how to access the server without the use of gui.

Did you enable SSH access? Or do you know if it was enabled by default?

I don't know how to access the server without the use of gui.
If you are using Windows, you need a program called Putty (from http://www.putty.org).
After you have installed the program fill the IP of your NAS/server (probably different from the one in the picture).
Your login data are
user: root
password: the password you selected during installation of OMV (assuming you are not using an ARM device like BPi or something else)If you are using Linux or MAC you can use a terminal.

Hi,
Sorry to piggyback onto this thread, but i'm having the same problems as the OP.
I've tried using various browsers on three different machines, one being a Mac, and when i try and login with my credentials it simply refreshes back to the login page.
No error or anything. All shares are working normally btw.The local IP address that i use does show as 'not secure' in the address bar on all browsers and i can't remember if this was always the case.
The machine had been working perfectly for years and has only started doing this since i had to replace a dead PSU.
Any ideas on where to start? Thanks...
** EDIT Ok, apologies, i've searched even more and realised it might be my root drive being full up, which of course it was...
My external backup drive had not been re-connected and so it seems Rsnapshot had defaulted to backing up to the root drive instead, causing the issue. All good now! -
