Remote Shares Plugin with FTPS permissions

Hello all, my first post. OpenMediaVault 1.7 Kralizec, all latest upgrades.
1. I've installed the Remote Shares plugin so that I can access my public host from within OMV.
2. First tried WebDAV (without SSL) but that went into a never ending "Applying changes" so I'm doing it using FTP.
3. Successfully added the host via FTPS which is mounted under a shared folder, all OK. I can browse the contents via SSH as root.
4. But when trying to browse the share from windows no credentials (as Guest I guess?), it cannot access the folder. Did apt-get update, upgrade, dist-upgrade, reboot etc... all I could think of

I think it's a permission problem (adding some users or changing rights etc) but I'm a rookie in this and don't want to mess anything up so I'm asking for help here.

It's the same way you add permissions to a normal shared folder on your system. Just create a user and give the user the permissions to r/w to the share.

The plugin mounts the ftpfs as root:root. You can edit the fstab manually and add the red marked one to the options,

fuse rw,_netdev,gid=100,allow_other 0 0

Then umount and remount the point. Restart samba and the file/folders should appear in the samba share.

The ftpfs is in remotesahre testing so the developer still needs to polish it a little bit
