    Hi!

Performed an upgrade from OMV4 to OMV5, but did not uninstall all plugins prior to performing the upgrade (stupid me).
Of-course this botched the upgrade, and I got stuck with broken packages, and after cleanup I basically had to re-install from scratch!
Followed the "Install OMV5 on Debian 10 (Buster)" (Install OMV5 on Debian 10 (Buster))

The system is now up and running, and I have started adding my configuration back, but are running into issues!
When trying to add the SMB/CIFS mounts back, there are no device in Shares dropdown!

Think it has to do with my "/etc/openmediavault/config.xml" file that was re-installed?
Thinking it has to do with the configuration of my drive(s) in there?

The MD-RAID is still there, and I can access the filesystem and files just fine via SSH!

Any hints on how to configure them back?

    Source Code

    1. root@openmediavault:~# cat /etc/fstab
    2. # /etc/fstab: static file system information.

first time Linux and OMV user here.
just installed OMV 5.0.5 and the web interface viewed from a remote computer gets a 502 Bad Gateway nginx until you logon as root at the NAS console. then you can log off root, or stay logged on, it doesn't matter, the web interface works until reboot. then you have to logon as root at the NAS console again to get access.

if you reboot from the remote web interface, the NAS reboots and the web page says loading... loading... loading... (it has lost connection) and when you refresh the page you get kicked because your auth has expired.

I needed to use the NAS as a headless unit. can't login every time to allow me to work remotely. isn't this a configurational issue?

one thing that was different during install, was that the NAS doesn't have access to the internet so it couldn't download a few gigabytes of data from a Debian server, so it said you can continue but your installation will be lacking. I hope that didn't have anything to do with it…

Is there anyway to change when Rsnapshot start running? As I understand it runs at 3:30, but I want it to run at a later time, how do I do that?

There is the base config.xml stored in /usr/share/openmediavault/unittests/data/config.xml Then you have to clear all omv tagged fstab entries, reboot no disks mounted and start again. The raid should be picked automatically at boot and be available to…
