Hi,
I've turn on back my OMV 0.5.60 Sardoukar!
All looks running correctly!
There was a check of file systems, and of my logical volume built from four 1TB disks (3.64TB), at the boot:
Checking file systems... fsck from util-linux-ng 2.17.2
4TB1 has gone 1352 days without being checked, check forced.
4TB1: 199255/244195328 files (4.3% non-contiguous), 671121010/976760832 blocks done.
My current OMV 0.5.60 runs on P4 3.80GHz CPU and 8GB RAM but I've a some RAM modules or slots defects.
Thus I'd like to build a new OMV 4.1.3 on a another "server" more recent (i5 quad-core 3.20GHz), where I can run additional servers/services via docker.
Which is the best way to migrate my current OMV 0.5.60 to a new server running OMV 4.1.3?
My first option could be to export OMV settings to be able restore my 4TB logical volume built from four 1TB disks?
About that I found the post (Re)Installation of OpenMediaVault speaking about "config.xml" file and these steps:
- Make a backup of your config.xml which is located here /etc/openmediavault/config.xml
- Shutdown your NAS
- Unplug all data disks
and re-installation of OMV.
Can I use this way to move disks and migrate logical volume settings to a new server, running OMV 4.1.3 (or running OMV 0.5.60 and upgrade it to 4.1.3)?
My second option could be to make a backup of my data (my entire 4TB logical volume), and restore it on the new OMV 4.1.3 server.
Which plugin/tools do I have to use to do it?
And another option should be to make a copy of my data (my entire 4TB logical volume) on an external disk, and copy it manually on the new OMV 4.1.3 server, where I've build a new 4TB logical volume from my four 1TB disks.
Thanks a lot for your help and advices
Chris
