hello,
After a reboot i get this message : grub, error, no such partition..
I have to reinstall omv ????
it happened just after installing the backup plugin..
maybe you can help me
Are you trying to boot one of the backup options distro?
i don't understand..?
i don't have a backup
should i use the install cd ? or is there a command with the Grub ?
Is this a new installation?
no no it's was an installation with the virtualbox plugin.
Virtualbox plugin? Backup plugin?
I am trying to understand a little bit more.
Why don't you give a description of your setup, so I can understand better.
Also by backup plugin you mean the omvextras one or the usbbackup plugin?
it was omv with Virtualbox plugin and it worked .
but when i installed the backup (omvextras one) and when i reboot, the system crash..
The backup plugin doesn't do anything to grub unless you install systemrescuecd, gparted live, clonezilla, or pmagic. You didn't go to any of those tabs?
How many disks did you had plugged during install?
ThE task to recover grub is not for a beginner in Linux. I would recommend you to reinstall, just have the system Os disk plugged and do not connect any extra hard drives.
great i tested without the second internal disk and the Esata external and the system start !
my configuration is:
One internal disk 320go in sata0
One internal disk 500go in sata1
One External disk 500go in Esata
the omv is installed on the 320go.
Now i reconnected the 2 over disk and i have for few seconds your image :
Guess you installed with additional disk installed? Grub probably went on the wrong device then...
Greetings
David
the problem comeback !!
so i deconnected again the second internal disk and the system work again..
Yes when i installed omv there was the 3 disk installed..
Now, How can fix this boot problem..? how can i force the boot on the good disk ?
thank
What's the rootfs disk?
/dev/sda?
Check with df -h
hello,
thank's
i think there is a problem with my second internal disk
Ok. Just in case sda is your Os disk
grub-install /dev/sda1
update-grub
Reboot and select on bios the system disk as priority #1 for boot
