OMV 5 Objectives and expected changes

First, thanks to all that have built OMV and are working on the OMV5 update.

I know there is a OMV5 beta already out there, but I am not feeling that experimental right now. Is there anywhere that lists what the major changes, new features, and/or improvements that are expected to come with OMV 5? I tried looking through the forums, but no luck.

Is the plan to move most of the extras to containers?

Also, is there an estimate (feel free to be conservative on this) as to when OMV5 is expected to be feature complete? More so looking to figure out are you like a month or two away, or like 10+ months away from releasing most likely.

As for the features I don't know whether there's a full list but at least already implemented stuff is added to the changelog and one major change which would've prevented upgrading from OMV4 to OMV5 has been postponed for OMV6.

Nope. Volker always says it will be released when it is released.

OMV5 will be released after Debian Buster is released and when OMV development is done.

And since the proposed release date for Buster has been announced as '2019-07-06' ... it won't be any sooner than that. Thus, it'll be released when it's ready after that date.
