Anacron setup for rsync jobs - omv beginner

    hello, I am a very beginner with openmediavault. In the moment I am running 4.1.23 without technical problems.


    I am using some rsync jobs to syncronize data, these jobs are working fine. In the moment I start this jobs manually. My next step is to setup anacron-jobs to run the rsync jobs automatically. My backup server is a home server that is not running day and night.
    My question is, can someone give me a tip howto setup anacron jobs correctly to run my rsync jobs. I like to on my server and anacron should check if there are rsync jobs that needs to run. Is there a guide howto to this or what is the best and most secure way to do this.

    In anacron plugin you can specify the command.


    For rsync it is something like rsync -a source destination


    Check the man page of rsync and the guide linked in my signature. You can also find lots of guides and tutorials using google or startpage
