Nextcloud asking to change the permissions to 0770 on a directory

  • What error is this? Is it teling you, the certificate is not trusted?

You can move it to port 80, but you still need to use https, which can be made, but is a very unusual config which is asking for trouble..

Having nextcloud on http is not a good idea, as the traffic is not encrypted. it is (almost) always better to have a https connection even with an untrusted cert (untrusted, but encrypted) than using http (unencrypted and untrusted).

If you start using swag, this will be solved by an official cert issued by letsencrypt.

If you got help in the forum and want to give something back to the project click here (omv) or here (scroll down) (plugins) and write up your solution for others.

  • Ok I'll keep the setup as it is then, thanks.

So that new docker-compose file seems to be working just fine. The only slight issue I have with it is that it runs on port 443 so I get that error below. I tried running it on port 80 but it just didn't work at all. Is it possible to run on port 80? If not, I'm fine with the setup as long as I don't get that 0770 data directory error.

Or you could just get it off 443, and put it on 450 (but it still needs https exception).

    Line 15-16 of your compose.
