Moin you OVMler,
today I have updated my OVM from 5.* to 6.* via "OVM-RELEASE-UPGRADE" from the CLI.
Fortunately everything went well for me.
Only error I have here is that OVM shows me my new disk as MISSING.
When I go up there and want to edit it or mount it etc. it doesn't work.
This seems to be obviously due to the fact that I manually mounted the new disk via DISK-BY-LABEL in /etc/fstab after mounting it.
Previously the disk was mounted by UUID (which is certainly great) but since I don't like it and OVM 5.* always did it that way (i.e. by DISK-BY-LABEL), I changed it.
(I changed the entries in /etc/openmediafault/config.xml accordingly for the new disk, of course).
I know they took this DISK-BY-LABEL out and yet it is still used FOR THE OLD ENTRIES. Otherwise, yes, the upgrade would have somehow changed the old entries with the DISK-BY-LABEL. But it didn't.
This is how the error looks:
Someone can say something about this and possibly help me?
Kind regards
Tommy
P.S. Please no help a la "But you don't do that". I am already big [bt]
