I upgraded OMV 5.x to 6.x a couple of days ago. Things look fine so far. But in omv-extras, I cannot find anymore all the options that were there in 5.x, such as the Kernel etc. I particularly miss the option to restart the system once in Clonezilla, that I used to create images of my system. This is how it looks now in the omv-extras. Do I have to install something or enable something I miss?

Do I have to install "openmediavault-kernel 6.4.8" in the Plugins section first?
Also, I had already installed the Clonezilla plugin in OMV 5, and there still is the /boot/clonezilla-live-2.6.0-37-amd64.iso in the boot disk. Should I delete it?

For issues related to the kernel, clonezilla, etc you can install openmediavault-kernel.
For docker-related issues, you can install openmediavault-compose.

I installed openmediavault-kernel plugin. Now I see all the options I had before. I installed Clonezilla via System->Kernel, and I check in the boot directory that the old iso (2.6) has been deleted and replaced with 3.0 iso.
Thank you!
I just wonder: The openmediavault-kernel plugin was not already installed in OMV 5? I do not remember to be honest. If it has been installed shouldn't it be just upgraded for the OMV 6?

Do you see the pinned threads that exist on every sub-forum?!?

If memory serves me correctly, in OMV5 there was no openmediavault-kernel plugin, I think it was all in omv-extras. But I don't remember the details.

This must be the case. This caused my confusion. Thank you for your help.

omv-extras 6.3 / openmediavault-compose 6.7 - Updates/Upgrades - openmediavaultI have seen this specific thread, although I have not read all the messages. Since the discussion was about docker (that I am not familiar at all), I could not see any solution for my question there. There maybe something in the next pages, but with a quick search I did not find anything.

There was no openmediavault-kernel plugin in OMV 5. I had to separate the kernel and iso stuff to a new plugin for OMV 6.x due to changes in the omv 6.x web interface framework.

That is clear now. That is why I got "lost" in the first place, when I could not find the options I had in omv-extras in OMV 5, after the upgrade.
