Clone OMV USB onto larger one

  • Hi all,

I have OMV on a 16GB USB stick but I have a faster one which is 32GB and which I'd like to use for OMV.

What would be the best way to clone the 16GB stick onto the new one while also expanding the partition?

    Thanks

Please try ctrl-shift-R and read this before posting a question.

  • I've successfully "upgraded" my USB stick to a larger and faster one.

For the records and for those who might not be familiar with Clonezilla, I made a USB bootable Clonezilla, booted my PC into it.

I then selected "drive to drive" cloning but then selected the advanced options when asked. I left everything default besides option "-k1" which allows Clonezilla to make use of the extra space on the larger USB drive.

    After that, it just worked.

    Thank you!
