Doesn't that script install version 7? (the latest version)
If you install debian 12 the script will install OMV7. If you install debian 11 the script will install OMV6.
If it is an RPi5 you can only install OMV7. There is no debian 11 for RPi5.
For RPi4 make sure to install the 64-bit debian lite version. Avoid the 32-bit version.
Yeah... but I need it for an RPi5 because I have been having problems with mirroring external drives on OMV 7

There is no option for that end of story.
also don't raid USB drives mega mega bad idea.

In that case there is no possibility of installing OMV6 unless a version of debian 11 is published to install on RPi5.
What problems have you had exactly? OMV7 is beta, but from what I'm seeing so far there are few changes and I think it's pretty stable at the moment.

I'm not sure what you mean by "mirror". But you can do it with rsync from the OMV GUI.
If you are referring to a Raid mirror (Raid1) you will not be able to do it in OMV using USB connected units. Neither in OMV7 nor in OMV6. This measure was adopted a long time ago because it is an unsafe practice.

That's why I said you shouldn't raid using USB.

You can use Rsync to mirror drives which is far superior to RAID1, in that you'll actually have data backup. Rsync operations work fine with USB.
A How To for setting up an Rsync disk-to-disk mirror is -> here.
Although I agree with all recommendations I'm sure everyone has their reasons when wanting to make use of USB devices.
I make use of a Venus T5c mini enclosure and I have no option then to use USB with my rpi4. My enclosure has a fan in it so its safe to use in my opinion and I will take my chances.
I manged to get the GUI to show the USB drives by changing the USB detection function from TRUE to FALSE temporarily and restart the omv engine. Just remember if you upgrade OMV this will most likely get reverted which is fine for me, I just need to make sure my RAID is applied correctly within OMV when I create it.
Edit: It is an unsafe practice, eliminated.
Beauty of opensource, if you want something different you can change it!

What makes you think that the existence of a fan makes it safer? That makes no sense. Having a fan does not make it safer to configure a Raid with USB drives.
There are many threads on the forum that talk about this topic, you can search them and you will find the reasons why this practice is unsafe. I will only tell you that at some point one of the Raid units will be disconnected and you may lose your data. OMV denies this practice for a reason but if you don't mind losing your data it is your decision.
Don't post on this forum how to do it, we already have enough problems.
