Hello guys, I have a server for an office where there are several users. The File Browser plugin would work perfectly for me and the requirements on the server, but there is a catch. Many third-party files are stored on the server, such as photoshop files. Using the file browser, if I want to edit a Photoshop file I have to download the file, edit it, and then upload it again, and that is a hassle. The question is: is there any way I can configure the file browser to be able to edit the Photoshop file without having to download it? That is, I double click on the file and photoshop opens it. Thank you very much in advance!
Access third-party files without having to download them in the file browser

I think the best thing for that is Nextcloud. You can use the desktop app to sync and choose if you want to have the file on your PC or just a link.
Welcome to the forum.

Hi, thanks for the reply!
I'm somewhat of a beginner in this world of servers, could you do a step-by-step guide on this? If it's not too much trouble?
I looked online but I couldn't find anywhere that taught exactly this.
Thank you very much in advance!

Ok, I installed nextcloud through docker, everything is now working perfectly, I can log in by accessing my server's IP with port 8080. But now, when I'm browsing the files within nextcloud, when clicking on a .kml file (google earth ) it downloads, but I wanted it to open the google earth app locally for me to make changes. How do I make this happen?

I celebrate it.

Sorry, no idea. I would ask on the Nextcloud forum if that is possible.
Edit: Did you look at the Nextcloud plugins? Maybe there is something related.

I found a better way. To access a file locally, the Nextcloud desktop client must be installed. After installing the client, connect with the same account that is being used on the web. Finally, add a folder to save the files locally. Therefore, when you want to open/edit an external file locally, simply find the file on nextcloud web and select the ‘Edit Locally’ option. Hope this helps more people who have the same problem.
