See here how to activate tpm and it should be possible. https://wiki.omv-extras.org/do…nfiguring_a_windows_11_vm
Since the vm is already configured and running, you may have to edit the XML.

The guest does not really know it is running in a VM. So, other than the tpm requirement that chente mentioned, upgrading shouldn't be any different than upgrading a regular Win machine. I do recommend taking a snapshot before upgrading and you can easily revert if the upgrade fails.

thx guys
I occupie this thread for another question, my machine hardware works with a Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700 CPU @ 3.40GHz. This cpu is not for W11.
Is there any chance to install w11 in kvm with this cpu?
-
Doubtful. If you could, it would have to use full emulation and it would be very slow.
-
OK a new generated W11 machine works as it should without configure any options. no change the v cpu.
On a clone of one W10 i editet the xml file to enable TPM. Afterthis i start the machine and do the integrity check from MS.
Two messages tat make me sad:
Dieser PC muss den sicheren Start unterstützen.
This PC must support Secure Boot.
Der Processor wird für Windows 11 zurzeit nicht unterstützt.
The processor is currently not supported for Windows 11.
any ideas ?

I have a converted Linux VM to secure boot but not windows. Sounds terrible to try.

You can change the cpu while the VM is off. I don't know if Windows will have a problem with that.
Seems easier to use the fresh install of Win11 and reinstall the programs you have on your win10 vm. But I'm not a windows guy.
