hi there I need some help. I had omv setup and I had lots of files stored on it but last night I unplug the hard drive by mistake and now it won't work when I go into the ip address and login all I get is set up date and time. Can I just remount the hard drive to get back my file's or do I need to reinstall omv onto my pi and remount the drive or will it need to reformat the drive. Please help me get my file's back.
I need some help

Do not format the hard drive. You can remount the existing file system on OMV or any Linux system.
Simply reconnect the hard drive and start the OMV system, it should work if you haven't done anything else.
Make sure to log in to the OMV GUI with the admin user.

Hi chente,
What should I do if the file system doesn't appear in the OMV GUI?

In Storage | File Systems press the Mount an existing file system button.

You likely just need to remount the drive. Log in to OMV, go to the **Disks** or **File Systems** section, and see if the drive is listed. If it is, mount it from there. You shouldn’t need to reinstall OMV or reformat the drive. Your files should still be intact.
