Is not available, you don't need to open a thread for this you can check either at github or bintray
https://github.com/OpenMediaVault-Plugin-Developers/ Check if hte plugin has a 3.x branch
or easier
https://bintray.com/openmediavault-plugin-developers/erasmus
So sorry.
Never used either of them sites. I will refrain from asking questions.
You can ask questions, i am just mentioning that info is available for this, a little bit of searching here will point there.
I did some searching here didn't come across these as was mainly searching for details on this plugin but last threads I could find were from years ago or about omv2 which is when I last used it.
Hopefully it will get ported for omv3 at some point I'd use my router to do the the job ddclient would do but it doesn't support ddns.
You don't need ddclient plugin for OMV3.
Just set your hostname in your DNS provider with the dynamic IP, and it does the rest for you.

Can you explain more I don't fully understand.
Do you have a DNS provider suchas NO-IP or DynDNS?
You can sign up for a free account, and register for a free one or purchase a domain.
Yes I have one with dyndns. Which I was using with ddclient on omv 2 to keep the ip updated for external access to some services.
DynDNS does it automatically for you too.
You can set the hostname to update its IP interval in DynDNS.
Sorry my provider is no-ip not dyndns I don't think they auto update with out there app or ddclient to send the info
Yes, it does.
I'm using no-ip as well.
The no-ip client's app is optional.
I'll try have a look and figure it out
Just checked no ip interface can can't see anywhere a bit for it to auto update I can manually type my current ip that's about it.
That's correct.
After you enter the IP manually, and it checks up your IP periodically.
Ok it doesn't seem to be updating it's stuck on the last ip I was assigned.
All these dynamic update clients are based on just sending a curl POST payload with some token or api key, you don't need a plugin this is a one line command that can be put in scheduled tasks.

I don't use dyndns, I have a FQDN with namecheap and the update process is the same just an url to update the ip address

[/quote]You're right. I just checked mine, and some of my hostnames were checked was last year.
So, my current router is updating my IP to No-IP host.
I found the instructions of No-IP for Linux update client:
https://username:password@dynupdate.no-ip.com/nic/update?hostname=mytest.testdomain.com&myip=1.2.3.4
