OMV 3 is currently in beta phase and is completely adapted to Debian 8.
-
OMV 2.X will never come to Jessie. Please be patient and wait for 3.X which Mods/Devs are already testing.

I'm super excited about 3.0, I will definitely wait to see it.
Do you know if there is a projected release date, a road map, or anything similar for 3.0 at this time?
-
No. There are still some issues especially when upgrading from 2.x. However 3.x is running great so far and devs are porting plugins to 3.x already. stay tuned

What happen when we upgrade to version 3?
Am I able to keep my current plug-ins, settings, such as Plex, OwnCloud?
Or we have to start over again? Thanks.

Plex will be there. The owncloud plugin won't be available in OMV 3.x.
-
My owncloud is a standalone installation.
Will that affect? -
I'm also curious, what about the smaller plugins like OMV Backup, SnapRAID, etc? Will they eventually make the move as well?

It shouldn't. If you are using the nginx plugin, it is being ported to OMV 3.I'm also curious, what about the smaller plugins like OMV Backup, SnapRAID, etc? Will they eventually make the move as well?
I can't think of a omv-extras plugin that isn't being ported to 3.0. Backup and SnapRAID are already in the omv-extras erasmus repo. There are already 20+ plugins that have been ported to 3.0. -
Just so I understand this, when I make donations to OMV do I need to divide my dollars between OMV and OMV-Extras, or do you guys share?
