OVM - how to use like webserver

    • Offizieller Beitrag

if i install mysql and httpd there can be problems with OVM web

If you install httpd as apache web server yes there are issues as is more likely that nginx will lose the battle starting as a daemon/service. Then you will come here complaining you don't have a webui for OMV. You can use apache but configure it accordingly not to share the same port with nginx if you know what you're doing.

There are no issues using mysql, i recommend instead of installing apache use nginx in conjunction with the nginx plugin to launch websites. You can also configure the php-fpm pools with the plugin.

  • SubZero,

I tried setup some web servers with Apache2 such as FOG and CloneDeploy a month ago, and I changed the Apache port to a different port from Nginx.
Restart the Nginx and Apache2 service, but I still unable to access OMV web gui or any other sites.
    What do I missed?

    OMV v5.0
    Asus Z97-A/3.1; i3-4370
    32GB RAM Corsair Vengeance Pro

Did you change the default ports in /etc/apache2/ports.con for apache as well?
Can you ret to the web sites on the apache?
What does netstat -tulpn tell you?

If you got help in the forum and want to give something back to the project click here (omv) or here (scroll down) (plugins) and write up your solution for others.
