I'm actually using MLDonkey also... with Sancho interface.
Having it integrated would be very nice.

I would also like to have a DC client in OMV -

It's a great idea. The plugin Mldlonkey is a very good complement to this great NAS software.
Congratulations and thanks to the developers.
We follow your evolution. -

Definitely. It would be a shame not to have it while the competitors do (Qnap, Synology, etc.)

I'm really looking forward to get this plugin - I've managed to install mlnet, but can't use it yet, as by default only local machine can access webinterface of mlnet / any sugestion how to modify downloads.ini file and get webinterface available on other IPs??
-
you can also install amule in debian http://wiki.debian.org/aMule maybe it easier to get a plugin for this.

did manage to install mldonkey doing
but it looks it's not working properly / tried to modify allowes ips on downloads.ini doing
but still I can't access mlnet webpage (I guess mlnet is not working properly)
any different way to install mldonkey on openmediavault??
-
rabby80, did you ever get this working?
If not, here's what I had to do - you were almost there...
Also install
apt-get install mldonkey-gui
/etc/init.d/mldonkey-server stop
edit downloads.ini to add your network - 192.168.1.0/24
/etc/init.d/mldonkey-server start
point your browser to your OMV ip:4080

just found out that correct file to be edited is another:
is the right one to be edited.
But I've another problem: in order to let start core I need to type
in CLI (don't ask me why, but I can't access as root SSH from another machine on my lan)
Then gui appears and I can config mldonkey through web interface
question...how can I let mlnet execute automatically every time server starts??

In the end I resolved as follows
Installed full debian squeeze (erasing previous installation of openmediavault), including xfce environment http://wiki.debian.org/Xfce
Installed vnc server - see instructions here http://www.debianhelp.co.uk/vnc.htm
installed openemdiavault - see instructions here http://forums.openmediavault.o…pic.php?f=12&t=1508#p6955
Installed mldonkey server + GUI
So right now I can edit all settings (and get access to downloaded through MlDonkey) directly from a windows desktop / android tablet, accessing my server using a VNC client
