I took my USB backup disk out of its case to see if there is any speed difference connecting it via SATA.
After doing so I just noticed some kind of SMART error on it. SMART -> Devices -> Overview shows red. But under Information -> Attributes, I cant find any error.

Is it possibly just because the controller has changed without reformat or should I get a new one? Thanks in advance!
