You can find the installation images here OMV 5.0.5 e.g. for OMV5
If you take this openmediavault_5.0.5-amd64.iso then this is also for INTEL CPUs. "amd64" means, it is for 64Bit CPUs. It does not mean that it is only for AMD CPUs.

I tried to install it. These are my exact steps.
I took a 4gb usb and wiped it using windows built in utility.
Then i flashed the iso image to the usb using balena etcher.
I went to install omv and it kept asking for a CDROM which i dont have.
Whet should i do?
You have to enter the BIOS to tell the computer to boot from one of the USB ports.
Seems you have to press F2 at the beginning of the boot sequence:

No as in it goes to the install image for omv but during the instilation it asks for the CDROM
Can you post a picture or write the exact message?
Would love to but my NAS just died
Ordered spare parts be here 2 JAn
Oh, that is bad. Sorry to hear that.
Let's see when you have the new parts. I can only imagine it is asking for an addition CD which you can ignore as the image on the USB drive is all you need.

If I'm reading this right, I think you idea of an installation is wrong. You don't "flash" an ISO file, to a USB thumb-drive, using Etcher. Etcher deals with image files, *.img
If you to use a USB thumb-drive as a boot drive, you still need installation media. That could be a CD/DVD with the ISO burned onto it or another USB thumb-drive with the ISO installed on it using a utility like Rufus. If your PC has a CD/DVD writer installed, double clicking the ISO file will (generally) trigger a write operation if a blank CD or DVD is in the drive.
If you want to install from a USB thumb-drive (as a source) to a thumb-drive (that will be your boot drive), you'll need two USB thumb-drives.
Here's a -> How-To if you want to use a USB thumb-drive and an software installation course.
There's a user guide in my signature that will walk you through an installation, if that will help.

I have not tried it, but according to the docs it is possible:

I haven't tried it either, but a USB Thumb-drive is different from the file format on a CD or DVD. If Etcher can make a USB thumb-drive bootable (as rufus can do) that would make it a much more interesting utility. I'll have to give that a try.
UPDATE: NAS is repaired attempting to instal omv if i have issues ill be sure to let you all know!
