Device mounted but invisible in sharefolder with 16tb drive

    I post again in a new thread since I used a very old one, so it is probably better to start new.


    I try to upgrade my existing drive label WD-10TB_2 by another label Seagate_16T both ext4 the Seagate_16T is mounted in filesystem but not visible for Shareholders.


    when I unmounted it in filesystem and try to remount I have to click twice on mount and it give me an error with the yellow sign the config has been changed but I cannot applied it but before hitting revert I can see the disk is visible in shareholders?

    It is possible that the problem is not the new drive but some other drive that is no longer available.


    You may need to tidy up. If you have other devices that are not available, remove all references to them in the GUI, along with all shared folders and services that use them.


    Once you only have the filesystems and shares you actually use, at this moment, reboot and try to mount the filesystem again.

    well the other other drive were usb I mounted back still no difference


    Also doing my experimentation I swap the new drive with the old drive since I was stuck with the shared folders I put back the old one but now I got an issue with NFS on my second machine, I see the directories in mnt under movies with different categories I can access USA movies but all other directories give me

    Permission denied.

    I suspect you are doing something very, very wrong, but you don't tell us enough details about what you are doing, so it is difficult to help.

    It seems you have a lot of errors, and that makes it impossible for you to apply changes? Fix that first. Tidy up. Make sure there are NO ERRORS. Then try again, and do it right, whatever it is you are trying to do.

    New error when I unmounted the 16T and try to remount with all missing disk mounted still stuck

    I can mount it but I have to revert configuration change but In this case still shared folders not accessible

    Is your OMV 5 current at 5.5.11-1? That version has a fix in it for quota problems.


    Run this command in the shell anyway and try to do what you were doing again.

    my version is 5.5.10-1 I upgraded to the latest ran sudo quotaoff -v /srv/*'

    unmount and mount again no Errors

    and I was able to make a shareholders cool

    now I have to figure why my NFS from the old drive all nested folder except one give me permissions errors

    I fixed the latest part also by updating the ACL
