Unit ntp.service not loaded

    Hi,

    I see this when updating OMV.

    Is there a way to fix it ? Tanks

Unit ntp.service does not exist, proceeding anyway.
Created symlink /etc/systemd/system/ntp.service → /dev/null.
Failed to stop systemd-timesyncd.service: Unit systemd-timesyncd.service not loaded.
Unit systemd-timesyncd.service does not exist, proceeding anyway.
Created symlink /etc/systemd/system/systemd-timesyncd.service → /dev/null.

    Would it make sense to check to see if they exist before trying to disable? This might avoid countless posts about an "error" like the saltstack patch threads.

    Uhhhmmm, really, ... no.

    I mean, the first line is talking about an error, but the second line will explain why it happens.


    If only users would read the error messages and warnings in the UI that carefully.... I really do not want to take care about everything that could potentially make users worry. That's crazy and impossible.


    I really do not want to make things more complicated that necessary.

    Changing a nice one-liner like

    deb-systemd-helper disable ntp.service || :

    to something else will really hurt me.
