The openmediavault-webdav plugin?

The openmediavault-webdav plugin?
Where can I find that plug-in, I don’t see it.
Is it in testing?
-
Is it in testing?
Yes.
-
Is it stable?
When I select Testing repo in System > omv-extras > Settings and press the Save button:
It says "Please wait..." for a while followed by "Error 504 Gateway time-out"
After refreshing the webpage it seems ok
-
Is it stable?
While there might be a couple issues with the plugin due to lack of testers, the webdav part is served by nginx which should be very stable. Are you running on mission critical system?

Noops

Then give it a shot. There might not be any issues but without testers, I won't know and can't improve the plugin if there are issues.

I will give it a shot.
Which port is it using?
-
Which port is it using?
Since it is using OMV's nginx instance, it is using whatever port the omv web interface is using.

Followed this thread and was able to install Webdav. Enabled service on a shared folder, added user to webdav-users group. All looks good on filesystem level (I think).
What I can't figure out is what URL I am supposed to use.
Help, please... tnx

just add webdav to end of your OMV systems url
http://omv/webdav
-
tnx, its not working... have to check the logs, hoping to see some error msgs. Out for the week-end though. Will be back with more info or a resolution.
-
OK, the issue was related to underlying permissions. Permissions fixed and I can now access webdav
Next problem is to figure out why Joplin (Notes App) is throwing errors at me - different forum.
Tnx again for your response.

hi,
i am unable to get webdav work
i have
- installed webdav-plugin
- create an shared folder
- enabled the plugin with the new shared folder
- added user to webdav-group
if i call the url (http://omv/webdav), i get an 404 (yes, i call the ip, not omv )
where is my fault?
thx for your help
ps: running omv6 here
-
restarting nginx solved the problem

Hi. I stumbled across this thread, as I have a requirement for WebDAV as well. I installed nextcloud, and just discovered that mounting NFS Shares (which are managed by OMV - Sourced by Proxmox Ceph) within NextCloud works, but will result in tears as I also tend to modify files outside of the NextCloud ecosystem (SMB Windows for example)
I was told that WebDav is the way to go
So, assuming I now need to stand up a webdav server, I have two choices. Use the plugin, or find some other way to stand this up (Docker container?)
I cant for the life of me find the plugin from the OMV-EXtras Tab.. Is there a cunning trick to this?

On OMV 6.x, it is in the testing repo which cannot be enabled from omv-extras anymore (everyone enabled it just to check boxes and then complained when they got a testing version of the plugin). So, you can either upgrade to OMV 7.x OR install it manually.
wget https://github.com/OpenMediaVault-Plugin-Developers/packages/raw/master/debian/pool/main/o/openmediavault-webdav/openmediavault-webdav_6.0.1_all.deb
sudo dpkg -i openmediavault-webdav_6.0.1_all.deb

Thanks, the OMV7 upgrade worked
Apologies for the really stupid questions now.. I cant seem to get anything to work
I have:
* Created a new shared Directory
* Webdav linked this
* Added myself to the webdav-users group
* rebooted OMV
I can't see anywhere else I need to configure.
So, tried accessing this from nextcloud. I tried all parameters, but no joy
I tried accessing from windows laptop (map network drive \\192.168.0.10\Test and \\192.168.0.10\webdav). Also no joy.
Is there anything else I need to enable or configure?
