I wanted to have more space in my setup so I bought an 18 TB drive that replaced a 6 TB drive. NOTE: This is NOT my OS Drive. I did this by using a cloning device. This went very well - everything came up without an issue when I swapped in the new drive. As you might expect, the system reports the drive at being 16+ TB, but if I look at any of the folder metrics, they still base the available space on the 6TB drive.
I've done a lot of searching on this, and I am having a hard time seeing what is true. Most people that did this were trying to swap out the OS drive and obviously that has different challenges. Others were using proxmox. GParted seems like the way to go, but I've seen numerous posts that appear to be conflicting. Is it possible to do this? If someone could point me to the correct guide or give me some truths, I would really appreciate it! I am not a linux expert but I am comfortable going in there and poking around.
