I just realized my second test computer doesn't have gigabit. That explains the 11 MiB.

  • Hi ryecoaaron,
after todays update of my OMV installation from 1.x (last stable version of 1.x) --> 2.1.7 I receive an "Internal Server Error" when I press the "View Log" button in the admin panel of the syncthing plugin. There is no further information revealed when I click "show details". However, syncthing itself works flawless, the service is up and running.
Perhaps you may have a hint how to solve this issue? Thanks in advance,
    topi

P.S.: syncthing plugin version 1.6, syncthing version 0.11.19

  • Hi,
Very good plugin ! Thanks !

I have just encoutered a small issue.. my log file for syncthing growing ...and growing, and disk size is very limited ...
How to limit size of log file on Syncthing plug in ?

Because when rootsfs is full, OMV GUI doesn't responds :(

    TXS,

  • That's what I did...when log are deleted, all is fine....But until when ?

    I'm sure it's syncthing log !
I did not find any option in the GUI.
But it seems syncthing can use logrotate to control log files.
Perhaps something to configure in next version of plugin ?

  • same problem here!

    11 Gigs syncthing logs!!!! :)

What happend with the plugin developer?
do you plan a fix for the log mistake and update to 0.12.2?

Nothing happened to me. I just uploaded an update to the plugin three days ago. I never saw these last few posts. I will have to look to see what it would take to fix this.

Update to 0.12.2?? Updates to syncthing are determined by syncthing since we use their repo.

openmediavault-syncthing 1.8 is in the repo. For each user, it logrotates weekly, compresses old logs, and keeps 4 logs.

Try the apt clean button in omv-extras. If that doesn't work, post the output of: cat /etc/apt/sources.list.d/omv-extras-org-stoneburner.list

You need to enable the btsync repo. This repo should be renamed sync.

  • Has anybody installed the syncthing plugin in the last couple of days?

I have OMV installed on a Banana Pro. Everything (SMB, MiniDLNA, SSH) is working, but I can't get the syncthing plugin installed. I've followed the above suggestions, but it's not showing up.

I installed sncthing via apt-get install and when I try to install the plugin (openmedia-syncthing) the plugin is not found ("Unable to locate package openmediavault-syncthing")

Any suggestions? or shall I install the deb package from http://omv-extras.org/debian/p…openmediavault-syncthing/ ?

    Many thanks for any help.

Just out of curiosity, why did you install syncthing manually? Do you have the btsync repo enabled?

  • Hi Aaron,
Synching didn't show up in the available plugins list, hence I installed it manually.
I think OMV must have gotten confused somewhere.
I wiped everything, did a clean install and I've now installed the synching plugin successfully.
    Cheers for this great plugin.

  • After enabling the bt sync repo I also got into trouble during updating
