So my OMV Nas has 2 Nic cards. I currently only use one for all traffic to OMV.
Is there ant advantage to setting up the second Nic to go to the same network plugged into the same switch. Are there any performance gains or any gains i really do not know.

I too would like to know what I can do with my additional Nic.
I am sure there is an advantage with Docker. I do run Haugene/Transmission-OpenVPN.So what can be done with a second(third) Nic?

There are a few modes for using multiple. The main reason would be redundancy. If you have a smart or managed switch you can also use lacp. You can combine 2 or more nics to act as one connection. This can make it seem you have a 2GB or more connection. Mostly usefull if you have lots of connections.
Google has lots of info on lacp.

With two or more NICS, your computer has better speed, and performance.
Some mode like RR, TLB...Try out each of them to see the result.
I'm using TLB. -

Thank you for your response. Please understand that I ask here because I am a bit clueless. (Railroad and Tender Loving Beach)What are RR & TLB?
Any pointers as to how you enable and use TLB?https://www.allacronyms.com/TLB/Network
