When someone creates the plugin. I don't know of anyone working on it though.

We won't support it before we're on Jessie. Single disks can already be mounted, even raid can be mounted as far as I know.

actually we are already far away from the roadmap with nearly realeased 2.x version

Jessie has to be at least 8.1. Then Volker will start porting it. AFAIK.

Basic Support was added to omv3.0. the webui can now format block devices (at 2.0 it can only mount), multi devices are shown grouped in the webui. @igrnt did some patches to display correct size usage.
Features like creation or modification of data/metadata profiles as well as device add/removal is still part of the cli, same for subvolume and snapshots.

Yes, but my opinion those features won't be implemented in core. A plugin will probably take from there...but is unlikely to happen in the near future. raid56 still have not reach stable
